Products to Support New Year’s Resolutions: 1000 Hours Outside

by Shannon Willett Leave a Comment

Is your New Year’s Resolution to spend more time outside? Whether you have made it your goal to reach the full 1000 hours, or you are just aiming for more hours than last year, these fun products will help your family find excitement and adventure in the fresh air. For the content creators, these products would make an excellent product round-up, blog post, or individual product reviews.

Outdoor Scavenger Hunt

As you and your family set out towards your goal, you might find difficulty knowing how to spend your time outside. Fight off boredom with this outdoor scavenger hunt. Fill your time and help your children to build natural curiosity and observation skills. Work together as a team to find your selection of items, or make it a competition as to who can find the most.

Outdoor Blanket

Moving every day activities from inside to outside can be a great way to increase the amount of time you spend outdoors. A quality outdoor blanket is a great tool to have, whether you are enjoying a picnic, snuggling up for some book reading, or keeping a young baby comfy and entertained while engaging with older children. Finding one easy to clean, light to carry, and big enough for the whole family will be a big boost towards reaching your goal.

Portable Cooler

For longer adventures with little ones, snacks are definitely required! Having a sturdy, reliable, and portable cooler can make towing snacks just a bit easier. We like this one from WAYB that will pack well in a stroller basket, hiking backpack, or diaper bag. The insulated interior will help keep item cold until ready to eat.

Rain boots

Have you heard the phrase, “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing,”? While that certainly depends on where you live and what season it is, with the right clothing you can make many “bad weather” days still possible to spend time outside. These rain boots will be a splash of fun on a wet day! The adorable design and waterproof material will accompany your child well while splashing in puddles.

Holiday Travel with Kids Tips and Hacks

by Shannon Willett Leave a Comment

Are you dreading traveling with your kids over the holidays? We asked our Mom Creator Facebook group about their best tips and tricks for traveling with kids and we can’t wait to share them with you! Here are a few of their tips! Mom Creators check out the content creation tips in bold!

Boredom Busters

This set of activity ideas can come in handy no matter where you are and your method of travel. Stuck in the airport, stuck in traffic, these ideas will fill your time with fun and joy! For those traveling by car, try this tip from Mom Creator Bhavana Aggarwal: “Having them run around in parks is a great way to get all that energy out.” Content Creation Tip: share each family member’s favorite activity card and then share the link in your IG stories for affiliate sales. Or show a review of a park you discovered on a road trip for others passing through the area!

Travel-Ready Gear

Having the right gear in tow can make traveling with kids a lot easier. While having travel-friendly gear can’t fix a flight delay or the turkey needing a few more hours to cook, it can help you create the perfect naptime while you wait. An easy-to-carry travel crib like the Lotus Everywhere Travel crib, a great sound machine, and a SlumberPod can make naptime anywhere, even in a bustling airport. Content Creation Tip: show your top 3-5 travel essentials in a round-up style, then each one more in-depth for multiple pieces of content.

All. The. Snacks.

If there is one single essential when traveling with kids, our Mom Creators agree that it’s snacks! A hangry baby or toddler is not something you want to encounter on top of travel stress. Mom Creator and double twin mom Abby Ludwig shares that her travel tip for snack storage is, “using the bead/string storage containers as snack containers for each of my kids.” Some of our other favorite products for hauling snacks around include the Boon Snug universal silicone lid cover, the Munchkin Snack Catcher, these Stackable Snack Containers, and this Snackle Box. Content Creation tip: Create a “Pass or Smash” snack video about the snacks you pack and how your kids like them.

Pack Smart

Traveling by plane certainly limits you on how many bags you can bring. And it might make more sense to combine into a few large suricates. However, when you combine multiple kids into one bag, it can be tough to keep each child’s stuff organized. Packing cubes are a great way to fix this issue! When we asked for travel hacks and tips, Mom Creator Danila Davidson wrote, “Packing cubes. A cube for each child/traveler.” Or maybe it makes sense to, “pack in packing cubes for each day”, like Mom Creator Caitlin Harvey. Another tip came from Haley Simao suggests, “packing clothes, diapers, little things in an over-the-door shoe organizer. Roll it up and stick in a suitcase. When I get to our destination I hang it on the door. Each pocket has an outfit: top, bottom, socks, and undies. I can easily grab swim diapers, bandaids, toothbrushes, medicine!” Grab one here! Here’s a Content Creation idea. Try creating a timelapse while packing with a voiceover. Share what you have learned about traveling with kids so far as a parent.

Traveling over the holidays doesn’t have to be so stressful when you have the amazing support of our Mom Creator network. If you have yet to join our amazing community, what are you waiting for?

Kid-Friendly Holiday Decorating

by Shannon Willett Leave a Comment

Trying to make your home “merry and bright”, and safe for tiny hands? We’ve got you covered. Check out these great holiday decor items from Audenticity that are safe for kids too!

Wood Ornaments

Wood tends to be a sturdy, durable material for decorating with kids in the home. We love these ornaments with elements of the advent season and a festive vibe for your tree. You won’t have to worry about little hands grabbing these ones off the tree!

Holiday Felt Garland

Fabric-based items can also be a great material for decorating around kids. This adorable 8 ft Pom Pom Garland is perfect for adorning your tree, dressing up your mantle, or maybe even for your play kitchen!

Wooden Trees

If you are going for neutral vibes amidst your holiday decorating, these wooden trees are the perfect addition. Add them to your shelves or mantle, or even use these for toys on display. Not a fan of beige? Grab your craft paint and enjoy painting these with your little ones and admiring their creations year after year. Make sure you write the year on the bottom before packing them away.

Felt Ornaments

We love the creation of shatterproof ornaments, but also love this felt option as well. These adorable ornaments will keep little hands safe, and “eyes all aglow”, while still allowing your tree to shine! These are also perfect for little hands to “help” with decorating too!

Battery Operated Candles

Whether on your mantle, tree, menorah or somewhere else, real candles might not be a great option this year. Thankfully there are tons of battery-operated candles that come in all shapes and sizes. You can buy in sets or even in clusters. Some can even be set on a timer or operated with a remote, allowing you to place them anywhere in your home.

How have you changed around your holiday decor to suite having kids around? Let us know in the comments!
