Gugu Guru: Tell us your favorite thing to do when you’re not creating content.

Rachel Meakins: My favorite thing to do, especially after having a child, is to have the living room completely to myself at lunchtime while eating and watching a show. How exciting!!

GG: What is your favorite snack?

RM: Let’s be honest – I love chocolate.

RM: I love creating content that educates, is thought-provoking, and has the potential to change one small thing in a person’s life that will create a ripple effect to greater satisfaction overall. Parenting is really hard so let’s make it as easy as possible.

Kari is a stay-at-home mom to six kids ranging in age from 2-13 years. As a mom, she wears many hats – not just because of the different stages her kids are in (toddlers, school-aged, and teens), but also because of the many experiences she has encountered in parenthood. She is a twin mom, a mom to an autistic child, a sports mom, a band mom, a dance mom, and more! Kari takes pride in being the best parent she can be for her kids. Gugu Guru: Tell us your favorite thing to do when you’re not creating content.

Kari Zimbric: I love to be outdoors. I was raised in an athletic family, so sports are a part of my kids’ lives too. But we also just love to have fun outside whenever possible – taking walks and bike rides, hitting all of the local playgrounds, going to the beach, or just hanging out in our backyard.

GG: What is your favorite snack?

KZ: Popcorn! All kinds, but if I had to choose one, it would be the O.G. Skinny Pop.

GG: What kind of content do you love to create?

KZ: Authentic, uplifting, sometimes a little sentimental. My goal is always to make other people feel good.

GG: What are your top 5 Mom Must-Haves?

KZ: Coffee (I LOVE Stok cold brew). Comfy shoes (Adidas or Birkenstocks). My phone to take ALL the pictures and videos. My written planner by Simplified – the only way to keep track of all of the kids’ activities and appointments in one place. And I don’t know how we lived before we got our Ninja double air fryer.

Boredom Busters

This set of activity ideas can come in handy no matter where you are and your method of travel. Stuck in the airport, stuck in traffic, these ideas will fill your time with fun and joy! For those traveling by car, try this tip from Mom Creator Bhavana Aggarwal: “Having them run around in parks is a great way to get all that energy out.” Content Creation Tip: share each family member’s favorite activity card and then share the link in your IG stories for affiliate sales. Or show a review of a park you discovered on a road trip for others passing through the area!

Travel-Ready Gear

Having the right gear in tow can make traveling with kids a lot easier. While having travel-friendly gear can’t fix a flight delay or the turkey needing a few more hours to cook, it can help you create the perfect naptime while you wait. An easy-to-carry travel crib like the Lotus Everywhere Travel crib, a great sound machine, and a SlumberPod can make naptime anywhere, even in a bustling airport. Content Creation Tip: show your top 3-5 travel essentials in a round-up style, then each one more in-depth for multiple pieces of content.

All. The. Snacks.

If there is one single essential when traveling with kids, our Mom Creators agree that it’s snacks! A hangry baby or toddler is not something you want to encounter on top of travel stress. Mom Creator and double twin mom Abby Ludwig shares that her travel tip for snack storage is, “using the bead/string storage containers as snack containers for each of my kids.” Some of our other favorite products for hauling snacks around include the Boon Snug universal silicone lid cover, the Munchkin Snack Catcher, these Stackable Snack Containers, and this Snackle Box. Content Creation tip: Create a “Pass or Smash” snack video about the snacks you pack and how your kids like them.

Pack Smart

Traveling by plane certainly limits you on how many bags you can bring. And it might make more sense to combine into a few large suricates. However, when you combine multiple kids into one bag, it can be tough to keep each child’s stuff organized. Packing cubes are a great way to fix this issue! When we asked for travel hacks and tips, Mom Creator Danila Davidson wrote, “Packing cubes. A cube for each child/traveler.” Or maybe it makes sense to, “pack in packing cubes for each day”, like Mom Creator Caitlin Harvey. Another tip came from Haley Simao suggests, “packing clothes, diapers, little things in an over-the-door shoe organizer. Roll it up and stick in a suitcase. When I get to our destination I hang it on the door. Each pocket has an outfit: top, bottom, socks, and undies. I can easily grab swim diapers, bandaids, toothbrushes, medicine!” Grab one here! Elise Hintorn: When I’m not creating content, I love spending time with my family (outdoors when it’s not 100+ degree is even better). If we can travel together, that’s also a bonus.

EH: My favorite salty snack is the Ruffles Jalapeño Ranch chips; my favorite sweet snack is Starbust (any flavor); and my favorite drink is coffee.

Thea Vaporis: Thrifting and reading! I research everything. I love hunting down the best beauty products by reading about ingredients and understanding the science behind them. My toxic trait is I can’t drive by a thrift store without popping in.

TV: I never met an olive or potato chip I did not like. Salty girl for sure.

TV: My content focuses on clean beauty with a little bit of lifestyle. But, my main goal is to always connect with other moms. Whether that’s through my comment section, or by recommending a new lipstick, the objective is to make that connection and friendship with another mom.
