Kindred Bravely Released a New Minimalist Bra Just in Time for Breastfeeding Month

by Maria West Leave a Comment

By Maria West

Happy National Breastfeeding Month! If you’re like me and celebrating by spending hours a day nursing or pumping to feed your baby, then you deserve extra cheers in August. Through the end of August, use code BAM20KB for 20% off on Kindred Bravely’s website.

Luckily for mamas like us, Kindred Bravely just released a new bra style to join their already loved breastfeeding gear: say hello to the Minimalist Hands-Free Pumping & Nursing Plunge Bra.

Let’s dive into why we love Kindred Bravely’s new Minimalist cousin of their best-selling Sublime® Hands-Free Pumping & Nursing Bra and how you can use a pumping bra as part of your daily wear.

Pumping bra vs. nursing bra

If you’re a new or expecting mom, you likely have nursing bras out the wazoo (and let’s be honest, they’re comfy to wear way past the breastfeeding stage). Nursing bras and camis allow moms to unclip the breast covering for babies to access from any angle.

If you’re a nursing or expecting mom who works away from your baby or likes a date night every once in a while, you’ll probably use your breast pump. Pumping bras come with nipple cutouts (not unlike Regina George’s Mean Girls look) for the flanges to access your breasts while being held in place. Many pump bras are bulky, strapless, and require changing for every pump session.

Kindred Bravely is well-known for disrupting the uncomfy nursing bra market with their soft, all-day-wear line of nursing and pumping bras. Their line is available in a wide range of sizes XS – 3XL, with busty sizes, which are designed specifically for DD/E cups and above. The new Minimalist bra is smooth enough to wear under anything and easy for nursing or pumping access.

When to wear a pumping bra

Wear your pumping bra when you anticipate needing to pump, like at work or on a date night. If you’re exclusively pumping (EP), get a few different colors so you always have a clean bra on hand (the Minimalist comes in Black and Lilac Stone colors).

Kindred Bravely’s products nail the mix of comfort and function. That means you can wear either the Sublime or Minimalist bras throughout the day like any other bra (even under formalwear!).

Outfits to pair with your pumping bra

Though the Sublime® Hands-Free Pumping & Nursing Bra is easy to access and set up your pump parts, the clothes on top can make or break your pumping experience. Here are some outfit ideas for what to wear when you pump that can go from office to date night:

[UGC video can have different outfits]

  • A tunic or oversized shirt
  • A dress that pulls or clips down easily
  • A button-up top
  • Tops, tees, and hoodies made for nursing and pumping
  • A stretchy nursing cover if you prefer to stay discrete

Features we love about the Minimalist bra

The best feature of the Minimalist bra is fixed padding (cue the applause from every woman ever). That means no more bunching or losing pads in the washer. This bra gives an underwire look of designer bras without the pokey underwire.

The Minimalist is moderate support with lighter pump flange support than its counterparts. The bra itself has a lower profile and coverage (a sexier plunge neckline) and stretches for maximum comfort. Here’s a comparison of Kindred Bravely’s pumping bras:

Kindred Bravely has done it again with their release of the Minimalist Hands-Free Pumping & Nursing Plunge Bra, and we can’t wait for Gugu Guru moms to try it out!

Make a Splash with the Kindred Bravely Swim Collection

by Jenna Hatfield Leave a Comment

Summer weather is upon us! With the hot temperatures comes fun in the pool, lake, or ocean, which means you need a bathing suit. Whether you’re expecting, cuddling a newborn, or chasing toddlers, the Kindred Bravely swim collection has the perfect suit for you.

What we love most about the Kindred Bravely swim collection is how easy it makes packing for a trip to the beach or to get things ready to head to the pool. They’ve got a variety of pieces that flatter your figure, fit well, and allow for easy nursing access. They even offer cover-ups to make getting to and from the water easier—and more stylish!

For those mamas who prefer a one-piece style suit, the Kindred Bravely swim collection offers a few great styles and colors. The Classic One Piece has easy nursing access as does the Wrap Swimsuit. While the Crinkle One Piece isn’t specifically made for nursing, the scoop neck allows for some pretty easy access as well. One piece suits offer moms a touch more coverage so you can focus on time with your family instead of what’s covered and what’s not. The best part of all three of these one piece suits is that you can wear them whether you’re currently pregnant or already introducing your little one to their first summer of fun.

Maybe you’re a mom who loves two piece suits. The Kindred Bravely swim collection has you covered as well! If tankinis float your summer fun boat, they’ve got a cute option in stripes or classic black. The bikini top comes in the same prints as the tankini and offers a full view of that bump! Additionally, you can choose low rise or high rise bikini bottoms. Kindred Bravely lets you mix and match your tops and bottoms to create a fit that’s uniquely you.

Walking to and from the pool with a baby or toddler in tow can be a handful. The Kindred Bravely swim collection also offers cute swim shorts to throw on. Additionally, the beach dress cover up is absolutely adorable.

Kindred Bravely really thought of everything when it comes to summer fun for moms. You don’t have to spend hours agonizing over what to wear. You can simply pack these pieces and get excited to make memories with your family.

Thank you to Kindred Bravely for helping keep our mamas stylish all summer long and for making this post possible.

Products We Love: Bonsie Baby

by Abby Ludwig Leave a Comment

Our army of parents is always here to spread the word about products they love. One brand we consistently receive rave reviews on is, Bonsie Baby. Making those early days of skin-to-skin time simple and easy, Bonsie Baby is a mom-founded brand with great clothing options for your little ones.

See what Rachel has to say about Bonsie Baby-

“Alright you guys, so I’m going to get emotional about this one. It was totally my favorite when Baldwin was born and now he’s a big… I remember emailing the company and saying, ‘Um, he’s outgrown them, can you make bigger sizes?’ Because I loved it so much.

Ok, so not only is it the softest fabric like ever, the patterns are super cute. They also have earth tones, which I’m a huge fan of if you guys know me, I’m like, the brown queen. Baldwin also had the stars, which I love. However, the real point of this is not only ease, right so they have the sack when you have a newborn, you don’t have to bother with right and left leg. But, easy in and out, but also mainly to promote skin-to-skin. And as a doula, as a lactation counselor, as a breastfeeding mom, I’m a huge fan.

And, what I love is they made this card [Boom!] to show you all the benefits. Skin-to-skin helps moms’ milk supply build, because it creates oxytocin. And it initiates breastfeeding, it helps baby cry less, it regulates their temperature and their heart rate. And it also really helps mom right, feel good as well. And it boosts brain development. So, we love skin-to-skin, and we also love a cute outfit. And we would really love a nap, but I’m being an influencer so we’re going to stop recording, happy shopping!”

Jocelyn, a NYC mom, is also a huge fan-

“Hey guys, it’s Jocelyn here, NYC mom to a 3-year-old and a (what are you now?) 11-12-week-old. This is Miles and today I wanted to review with you one of our favorite newborn outfits, by a brand called Bonsie. Bonsie was started by a fellow mom and I always love products by moms, because they know what we need. Ready for this? Skin-to-skin whenever you want it. And I love it!!

It was so nice when he was first born to be able to just open this up, keep him warm, but have that skin-to-skin contact. This one is a little small, it’s a newborn, so I need to order him the bigger size, but I wanted to be able to show you guys.

It’s made out of bamboo, so it’s been really soft the entire time. I washed it all the time and it kept up with softness. I would always say to my husband, ‘where’s the Bonsie onesie? That’s the one I want to put him in!’ And I actually just gave away most of his newborn gear, and this is the one item that I kept, because it has special memories because he wore it so often.

They have so many fun colors. I love the navy, because it goes with his eyes and I can’t say better things about this brand. Bye guys!”
