The Owlet Smart Sock: Gone are the days of the sound-only baby monitors which many parents used to rely on. Now, parents want real-time information about their baby to keep their worries at bay. The Owlet Smart Sock is a bootie which your infant wears, and uses hospital technology called “pulse oximetry” to monitor your baby’s breathing. The Owlet monitor relays the information and connects to your smartphone, so even if you’re on date night, you can check on your baby’s breathing.
Hatch Baby Changing Pad: The biggest worry parents have for their newborn baby is wondering if he or she is gaining enough weight; parents tend to track every feeding, every diaper, every cry, and still, they’re unsure if the baby is gaining weight. New to the baby market is Hatch Baby Changing Pad, a high-tech way to monitor your baby’s growth. When you lay your baby down on the changing pad, it quickly measures his/her weight, and sends it directly to your smartphone, which tracks not only weight, but feedings, diapers, and sleep. Hatch was invented by parents who wanted to take the worry out of wondering how your baby is growing.
COMING SOON Smart Diapers: These latex free, chlorine free, and fragrance free diapers (which are coming to market soon) are revolutionary in collecting data about your baby – all from their diaper! With their unique colorful boxes on the diaper, when the baby fills the diaper, the boxes change colors; the parent snaps a photo with their smartphone, uploads it to the app, and the app gives the parent a detailed report on the baby’s health! The diapers measure hydration, kidney function, even if the baby has a possible urinary tract infection or blood sugar issue. The Smart Diapers are a modern way for parents to rest easy that their baby is doing just fine, and simply has a wet diaper!
Gro Egg: Often new parents wonder how hot or cold the baby’s nursery is; is the baby too warm, too cold? The Gro Egg is a room thermometer that not only displays the temperature of the room at all times, but changes color to indicate the temperature (blue is colder, red is hotter). Want to figure out if the nursery is too hot? Just take a quick glance at the light’s color and adjust your baby’s clothing and swaddles if necessary. The soft light provides a soothing glow for baby’s nursery, and parents will rest easy knowing the temperature of the room is just right.
COMING SOON: 4Moms Self-Installing Car Seat: When installing a car seat, parents always worry that it’s in correctly and safely. They worry if they did the perfect job, because their most precious cargo is going to be using it! 4Moms is releasing the first ever self-installing car seat! Working in tandem with your smartphone, the smartphone app will alert parents if the carseat is level, and after scanning your car’s information, it will not only guide the parents on how to install the seat, but check seat placement, as well as all the latches, and let parents know when something needs to be adjusted. The carseat will also monitor your child’s growth and alert parents when the child has outgrown the seat!
