Strap in for the Ultimate Adventure: The Caravan Series Fits Your World

by Gugu Guru Leave a Comment

The world seems to be spinning faster and parents are busier than ever. Long gone are the days of having a baby and spending the next 18 years at home.

And Larktale says good riddance!

Forget being cooped up inside, oblivious to the world around you. As parents with independent lives, they bring their kiddos along for the ride.

Hitching your little one in tow lets them experience the joy and excitement of the world. And even better, YOU get to experience your little ones taking it all in.

That’s why Larktale’s committed to the journey – life’s not about a destination. You’re covered to bring your kids wherever the adventure of life takes you.

Psst… use code LARK-GUGU for 20% off at Larktale.

Features for Days

Taking a little one –or two, or three–out can be challenging, especially when you’ve got to wrestle heavy, clunky strollers or play referee in the argument over space.

Your gear has to be a breeze to use and outrageously comfortable for your kids. Anything less is not worth the hassle.

Thankfully, Larktale’s Caravan series has you covered. The stroller/wagons come equipped with everything you need to get out and go.

Maximize your mobility

The innovative, compact folding design makes packing the car as simple as fold and go. Easily fold it into the compact position and lock it in place – forget about it coming open when you lift it into the trunk!

The compact design fits easily into most trunks or cargo spaces. Plus, you’ll still have room for all the gear you and your kids need for your adventure.

Seating, solved

A space for everyone and everyone in their space.

Designated five-point harnesses keep everyone safe in their own area. With luxurious comfort pads, they’ll forget they’re buckled in. And with the no-rethread design, you can relax knowing it’s easy to change up the orientation of seats in the wagon because there’s no need to rethread the harness to keep a secure fit.

The drop-down footwell gives everyone access to the coveted legroom. No more feeling cramped or trying to fit feet and legs around their siblings.

Time for a nap? Need to lie down? The footwell cover easily creates a flat seating position that’s perfect for resting.

Comfort goes even further with multi-position reclining seat backs. Change up the angle to fit different kiddos or match the intensity of your activity.

Keep it clean

No matter what the adventure is, kids will get messy. Even if there’s nothing messy around, they’ll find a way.

And all that mess will come right back with them into the stroller/wagon.

Luckily, the Caravans are made for messes. Because it’s not fun without getting a little messy, right?

Take advantage of the wipe-clean material and the footwell zipper release to easily get rid of dirt and debris.

Convenience at your fingertips

Snacks, cups, toys, and blankets. Plus the essentials for you – keys, sunglasses, coffee.

Everything you need to get ahold of quickly fits perfectly within reach.

Small interior pockets are just right for those things your kids need in a hurry. The large storage pocket holds extras and fits securely inside or out.

The handlebar console stashes everything you need while keeping it out of reach of curious little hands.

Avoid the chaos of searching for that one favorite toy. When everything has its own place, everyone is happy.

The Caravan family has every feature you could ever need and then some. You focus on planning your next adventure and Larktale will help you get there.

Don’t Rain on My Parade

Weather can be unpredictable and is known for canceling even the most thought-out plans. Rain can take a fun-filled day of exploring and turn it into a disappointing day at home.

Of course, your kids are disappointed when this happens. But we all know who feels the worst – parents.

Seeing their excited smiles vanish. The constant question of if we can still go if it stops raining. Having to watch your joyless little ones meander through the day. Hello, major parent guilt.

Not anymore.

A little rain doesn’t have to spoil the fun. It’s time to teach your kids to dance in the rain and go with the flow. And Larktale’s made it easy for you to do just that.

Introducing the Caravan weather shield: the deluxe rain cover that comes *included* with your stroller/wagon.

A little rain in the forecast? Who cares. Strap your kids in and hit the road.

Pack your rain cover in one of the storage pockets so you can grab it with ease.

When the rain comes, effortlessly keep your little ones and all their gear dry. The rain cover stretches to completely cover the top and sides of your stroller/wagon, keeping everyone comfortable. The see-through design lets the kiddos look outside and lets light shine in.

The deluxe rain cover protects from more than just rain. Keep the adventure going through chilly winds and snow while everyone stays happy and out of the elements.

With the Larktale Caravan series, the weather will never be an excuse to miss out on a day of family fun again.

THE Choice for Savvy Parents

You know about many of the incredible features of the Caravans. But let’s get down to the nitty-gritty.

Here are the top three reasons we love the Caravan series:

  • Durability. When making a big purchase of any kind, the last thing you want is for it to break or not live up to the hype. The Caravans are built to last using high-quality materials and smart feature engineering. They’re here for the long haul and want to help you rack up those miles.
  • Bang for your buck. Good luck finding another stroller/wagon on the market that’s equipped with the same features. Sure, you can find additional storage compartments, extra cup holders, and maybe even a weather shield. But what makes the Larktale Caravans stand out? All of these great features are included with your purchase. They’re not nickel and diming you – you get the best of the best in one click.
  • Real reviews, real adventures. Larktale’s a team of parents who needed a solution to include their kids in their on-the-go lives. But don’t just take it from them, you’ll find hundreds of rave reviews from real parents who can’t get enough. Hear from others just like you explaining why Larktale’s innovative Caravan series helps bring your little one along for the ride of modern parenthood.

“Best wagon ever! It’s so spacious and durable. My kids are very comfortable inside and safe. Lots of storage and easy to use. Assembly was easy. Will use this lots!” – Caravan review originally posted on influenster.com

Ready to explore? Itching to hit the ground running? Or just looking for a stroller/wagon that fits your world. Whatever your day looks like, Larktale’s got you covered.

Mom Creator Curations: Best Family Travel Picks

by Gugu Guru Leave a Comment

When it comes to family travel, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the number of things you need to bring and the logistics of any day travelling. The reality is feeling prepared doesn’t mean you need to bring ‘everything but the kitchen sink.’ Let’s focus on the items that will make your travel day seamless.

For the Plane

Whether it’s your baby’s first flight or you’re bringing your toddler on flight number 20, taking 5 minutes to think through your must-haves can help ease any anxiety. To start, make sure you have our First Flight Checklist.

“I use these as snack containers for the plane. Each kid has his/her own and they fit perfectly into a backpack. This keeps snacks easily accessible during the flight and even doubles as an activity. I fill with a mixture of healthy snacks and fun treats to give the kids a fun surprise.” – Abby L.

“I am a Momma to a 3-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy with Autism. I never leave home without their custom water bottles (I make them), sensory toys for my son, baby wipes, and at least 4 snacks. I also bring noise-canceling headphones. We carry it all in a small toddler backpack that we call the “sensory backpack”. Backpack straps can be adjusted so my kids can wear it or hubby or I can use it. We also use our Evenflo all-terrain wagon. That is a must, especially if the kids get tired or my son is overstimulated.” – Dara W.

“Wetbags: You never know when a blowout or other mess will happen and it’s great to keep the mess contained till you can clean/wash. These also double on the plane as a great place to put dirty toys.” – Shannon W.

For the Car (or Plane!)

“My top favorite travel product is the WAYB car seat. It’s a simple fold-and-go travel car seat with an option to carry in a backpack style bag which makes traveling a breeze.” – Selina N.

Taryn S. also LOVES the WAYB Pico car seat.

“Hatch rest plus sound machine: the backup battery allows us to use for road trip car naps and it helps drown out the noise in hotels or grandmas house!”

“Whiskware stacking snack cups. Easy, compact way to pack lots of snack options and hand to the back seat!”

For your destination

“Solar buddies will always be my top travel recommendation when using sunscreen on the go.” – Chelsea A.

“The Busy Baby Mat is an awesome travel tool, especially when eating out or at a family member’s house! I also travel with LL bean zippered boat totes for my kids. They each have one in their own color with their initials on it.” – Samantha F.

Real Mom Reviews: Gladly Family Pod Diaper Bag

by Abby Ludwig Leave a Comment

Diaper Bags are often a new parents’ lifeline to the outside world. Fill with all of life’s necessities and you are ready to tackle the day. Of course, your must haves – diapers, wipes, and snacks/bottles for your little one are a must. But what if your diaper bag could also become a safe sleep environment for your little one? No more returning home for nap time, when you can nap on the go! Five families tested out Gladly Family’s Pod Diaper Bag. Here’s what they had to say.

Samira

The Gladly Pod Diaper Bag is seriously such a hit with my little one! We love it! I picked the gray color. Let me start by saying the buttery soft fabric is extremely high quality and looks very high-end. The way the bag easily zips and converts to the changing pod/bed is phenomenal. With the amount of space it has, I wasn’t expecting it to pull out into such a cozy baby bed with the patterned padded mattress insert with such a cute print. I love the zipper pockets in the front with lots of space for accessories, and I also love that you can carry it like a shoulder bag with the option to remove the straps or use the handles. I am going on a trip to PA next week and we are definitely bringing this bag so my LO who is 1 can nap during our layover or if I need to change any diapers in the airport. This bag is going to be so functional for our travels! Thank you Gladly Family.

Edith

I received this Gladly Family Diaper Bag as part of a product review. The Pod diaper bag shipped to me quickly and came packaged in an easy to open box and protective plastic bag. I took it out and my first reaction was how pretty the tan outside color and the silky floral pattern inside is. I opened the bag and was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it is. There are multiple pockets to hold our diapers, wipes, bottle, and clothes. I loved the changing station that folds out from this bag. Easy to use, big and roomy. Great to put baby in a safe space while napping on a trip outdoors. My favorite thing is how much room this bag has and that the fabrics are easy to clean. It’s comfortable to carry with the padded straps. Overall this is a fantastic diaper bag for on the go and especially family trips. I can carry everything I need for baby in one stylish bag.

Ankita

The Diaper bag has enough space to carry all the essentials needed on the go. It has insulated pockets for bottles and could even fit in a breast pump if you plan to pump on the airport or flight. The bag could hold diapers, wipes, change of clothes, burp clothes, bibs, creams, toys as well as meal time essentials like feeding bibs, spoons, storage containers. There are ample pockets to arrange all the items well. I even used it to store the medicines that might be needed while we were traveling. It helps in keeping all the baby items at one place so you do not have to worry about carrying multiple bags and it’s accepted as a carry-on luggage, fitting perfectly in the overhead bin. It is easy to carry, I had it attached to my travel luggage and was able to spin in around easily.

The travel cot is quick to assemble and disassemble and the iron rods are fitted well to make it sturdy and also hidden from baby’s view. The Gladly family has looked into security from all perspectives. It is perfect for those airport naps or if you want your baby to be confined to a safe space during layover. It is perfect for diaper changes as well. The color is gender neutral and perfect for both parents. We absolutely loved the product and highly recommend it.

Danielle

As a city mom of two young girls, I am always going! Between 1.5-mile-long walks to daycare, running to work meetings, and bopping around my city’s parks, cafes, play spaces, and restaurants – I need a bag to not only fit all of my little’s essentials but be as stylish as the stroller I am pushing and outfit I am wearing. The Gladly Family Pod Diaper Bag Changing Station & Travel Cot fulfills all those needs and so much more. There is plenty of room to carry all our essentials and backup emergency supplies. It can also open and expand into a mini cot to make diaper changes, nap time, and playtime outside safe and clean.

The bag is made of soft, luxe vegan leather.  I am a stickler for organization and easy to access belongings.  In the past, I had to purchase special organizers for my bag, however this bag as so many compartments designed for all different types of products.  From the insulated bottle holder to interior mesh storage pockets, interior zipper pockets and outside pockets to grab essentials quickly and easily – this bag has a home for all your needs.  It is also very comfortable to carry with many options to do so.  The straps easily adjust as well so if you have caregivers of different heights using the bag, they can do so without a problem.  Lightweight, stylish, easy to use, and roomy – the Gladly Family Pod Diaper Bag Changing Station & Travel Cot is a MUST have.

Fatema

The color and fabric of this bag is of very good quality. I do love the bed/changing feature as it is very spacious and can fit my one-year-old inside comfortably. The one thing I am not fond of is there are not many pockets in the bag to fit bottles and to keep things organized. However, the large side is very spacious and can fit most everyday essentials. A few things I wish this bag would have compared to the other diaper bags that I have used are multiple pockets, a USB port, and a backpack strap. Thank you again for giving me the opportunity to use and review this bag!

Thank you Gladly Family for allow some of our real moms to test your wonderful product!

Real Mom Reviews: Gladly Family Merritt Portable Playard Suite

by Abby Ludwig Leave a Comment

When Gladly Family set out to create the ultimate playard, simplicity was key. Safe for newborns – 50 lbs, this playard is perfect for your growing family. It folds in a flash and includes a changing station, great for long-term use. The included backpack storage makes travel a breeze, and everything is machine washable. Check out what some of our families (check here for current opportunities) had to say after testing the Merritt Playard with their littles.

Ankita

The portable playard is well made, it is sturdy yet the design is sleek and modern and easy to move. I have used it on a hardwood floor and carpeted floor and it works great with both. It does not skid on either of the surfaces. The weight limit on the playard is comparatively larger than many other products in the market which is a huge benefit as it could be used for a longer duration. The assembly is easy as well as the instruction manual is well explained. I love how well the changing station holds on the playard, absolutely perfect to have and saves space with its design. The mat on the changing table is waterproof for surprise moments while diaper changes. The mattress is very comfortable and sturdy, they have considered the needs of newborns and infants while designing it which provides the needed support to the baby.

Love that the fabric is machine washable or it could also be easily cleaned with a wipe. The mesh provides great ventilation to the baby. It provides a safe play space to my baby while I work and watch him play. The diaper caddy is big enough to hold everything you will need. The best part is the fast, one-hand fold. Truly amazing. The color is gender neutral and perfect to go with the aesthetics of any decor and its backpack is great to store and carry along. We absolutely loved the product and highly recommend it.

Christine

As a two-under-two mom, having a portable playard that is versatile enough to work for both my newborn and my toddler is a must. I really liked knowing this playard works from birth to 50 pounds, so we can use it for a long time! I also quite often find myself only having one hand free, so many other portable products are too hard for me to assemble or disassemble on my own. With this playard, I can set up and tear down with literally one hand. Definitely great for moms that are on the go with multiple kids!

Jillian

We are pretty big fans of the Merrit Playard after testing it out. I was a bit skeptical when the package first arrived because it has “HEAVY” written all over it, It was pretty heavy when we brought it in, too. However, once we opened it up, we noticed the backpack carrying straps. We were no longer concerned because we knew it’d be easy to transport, and it was.

Setting it up was a breeze! Significantly easier than using a traditional pack and play, it basically popped into place. The clips for the bassinet take some coaxing to get on the top railing, but the bassinet is pretty stable and the changing table works great. I would recommend this over any other playard I’ve seen in the market.  My only complaint is that the accessory caddy is going to be challenging to keep organized as each section is pretty big, but with a small opening – however, that won’t deter me from using this!

Gladly Family Wagon Stroller: Ready for Adventure

by Christine Swearingen Leave a Comment

One of our experts had a chance to try the Anthem2™ 2-Seater All-Terrain Wagon Stroller from Gladly Family. Read what she has to say about it below.

The Anthem Wagon Stroller is everything I could ever ask for in a wagon, and more. We’ve always been an active family and love being outside and exploring. With two kids, we still like to be on the go and create our own adventures. And with this wagon stroller, we easily can.

As a mom of two, a 3 year old and a newborn, space is always a premium. The creators of this wagon have created a space for everything, and they didn’t forget the parents. From the double-snack tray and child cup holders, to the interior mesh pockets, to a cup holder and storage area for parents conveniently located on the handle. Another thing I love is the two fold-up features of this wagon to save space in the garage and store it neatly. You can fold it flat or in a standing fold.

My daughter loves the double canopy on the wagon so she can “hide in her wagon fort” and stay warm on even the coldest days. I love that it’s compatible with our carseat and is so easy to click onto the wagon so we can quickly move from car to wagon when on-the-go.

We’ve used the wagon stroller on the sidewalks, rocky roads, and even in the snow. It’s handling ability and all-terrain tires and suspension system allow for a comfortable ride for my kids in any type of terrain. You can push like a stroller or pull like a wagon smoothly, and easily transition between the two by simply changing your position on the handle.

Gladly Family really thought of every feature you need in a stroller wagon and we are so glad we’ve discovered it. With the Anthem2 All-Terrain Wagon Stroller, we can still create adventures and memories with our kids for years to come. Check it out yourself and discover all the greatness!

Snuggle Up in the Snow: Winter Baby and Toddler Must-Haves

by Jenna Hatfield Leave a Comment

As you enter into your second, third, or even fourth winter with your older baby or toddler, you might need to add some items to your household. You’ve already collected and used the ones we’ve suggested on our winter newborn list. Now your active little one needs more things to round out their cold-weather experience.

Looking for our best winter gear for your baby? Check out our must-haves here.

Winter Sleepwear

ergoPouch Jersey Sleeping Bag 3.5 TOG

For your older babies who are still loving the sleep sack style, this ergoPouch sleeping bag is a great option. It’s rated 3.5 TOG, which is good for temps down to 57 degrees. Your little sleeper will stay warm and cozy all winter long.

ergoPouch Sleep Onesie 2.5 TOG

And for the walkers, grab this sleep onesie, which has a 2.5 TOG rating. It’s good for temperatures down to 63 degrees. Your toddler can run circles around you and stay warm at the same time.

Snow Wear

Baby ColdControl Max Puffer One Piece

If you live in a colder climate with snow potential, you’re going to want some snow gear. This one-piece snow suit from Gap offers a simple gender-neutral option. We also like offerings from L.L. Bean and Land’s End for some more colorful picks.

Buffalo Check Sherpa Hat

Your little snow bear is going to need a hat, and this one from Carter’s stole our hearts. Buffalo check and ear flaps? Yes, please.

Cozie Fleece Mitten

When it comes to gloves, this set has the trick we love. You fish the string through both sleeves and, voila! Your toddler can’t lose their gloves in the snow. Or in the car. Or while getting their coat on at daycare. You get the point. You’ll spend less time looking for missing gloves. That’s a definite win.

Toddler Denver Winter Boots

Keep their toes warm with these cute snow boots from Cat + Jack. There are a variety of color options to pair with whatever snowsuit you choose. The velcro closure makes them easy on and off, a must-have for trying to get toddlers dressed for snow time. (You’ll be in a race to get them dressed, yourself dressed, and everyone out the door before you or your child overheat!)

Outdoor Travel

Larktale Chit Chat Stroller, Rain Cover, and Foot Muff

Start with the Larktale Chit Chat, a great stroller for all of your adventures. Then, as the winter season arrives, add the Rain Cover so you can still get out for a walk even on the not-so-perfect days. Lastly, for cold days, add in the foot muff to keep your baby’s tootsies nice and toasty.

See what some of our moms had to say about the Larktale Chit Chat here.

Sherpa-Lined 3-in-1 Maternity Hoodie

Pair this jacket with your favorite baby carrier, and you’ll both stay warm and toasty. It features a zip-in panel to fit over any carrier or sling. Throw this on and head out for a winter hike you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Looking for a great carrier? Check out our Baby Carrier Quiz to narrow down your choices.

Kids’ Pull Sled and Cushion Set

Not wanting to go for a stroll or a babywearing hike? How about pulling this adorable sled through the snow? Or even the double version of it? Or perhaps you want to push a sled? Whatever the case, these sleds are heirloom quality and can be handed down for generations to come. (Plus, how cute are they? Goodness!)

Winter Health & Wellness

Earth Mama Organics Baby Face Nose & Cheek Balm

If you spend as much time playing outside as your toddler wants to, they might end up with some chapped cheeks. Rub some of the Face, Nose & Cheek Balm from Earth Mama on them to help soothe and moisturize. It’s certified organic and free from stuff you don’t want on your baby’s sensitive skin!

These things will add some joy to the winter season as you make memories with your little one.

Brr-ing on the Snow: Creating a Registry for Your Winter Newborn

by Jenna Hatfield Leave a Comment

You’re about to welcome a winter newborn to your family in the next few months. What items should you add to your registry? What gear will make it easier to care for a brand new baby in the middle of the coldest and darkest months of the year?

We’ve put together a list of our top items that will make caring for your winter newborn feel like a breeze.

Newborn Smart Swaddle Sleepsack

Many newborns prefer being swaddled while sleeping. However, some babies end up waking up due to feeling too hot in the middle of the night. Try a Swaddle Ideal Temp from Halo to solve the problem. The swaddle features IntelliThread fibers which store the heat when your baby is warm and release it back to the baby when they cool off. It’s pretty fancy. If you are dealing with cooler sleeping space in general, we also love the Cocoon Swaddle Bag by ergoPouch which is rated 2.5 TOG and goes from swaddle to sleepsack for a seamless transition.

Winter Newborn Hats

You’ll want to keep your newborn’s head warm when you head out and about during the winter months. There are a billion and one options, from homemade finds on Etsy to this adorable polar bear hat from Melange Collection.

Humidifier

Get ahead of dry skin and congestion with a humidifier for your baby’s nursery. You’ll appreciate how the Crane 4-in-1 Cool Mist Humidifier doubles as a sound machine for your littles’ bedroom. Plus, the built-in light can change colors, making for both a relaxing ambiance and easy way to check on your sleeping newborn. Read more about our favorite humidifier, here.

Newborn Car Seat Cover

If you’ll be lugging your newborn’s car seat in and out of the elements, a car seat cover will help keep your baby warm and dry. The Multi-Use Cover from Copper Pearl will rise to the occasion in style. The cover comes in a wide variety of prints and colors, including seasonal options like this polar bear print. (As an aside, there are matching burp cloths, top knot hats, and more. It seems like a very cute, very slippery slope.) The reason we love these particular car seat covers lies with their multi-use. You can use it as a nursing cover as well or to keep germs away in the shopping cart!

Looking for something that will keep baby warm on the coldest days? Check out the Skip Hop Car Seat Cover, which stays safely on the outside of the car seat, but protects baby from snow, wind and cold!

Stroller with a Rain & Wind Cover Perfect for a Winter Newborn

When you’re feeling well enough to get out and about with your newborn, you won’t want the weather to impede on your energy level. A rain and wind cover for your stroller will help you get out and about when you can while keeping your baby warm and dry. Check out the Larktale coast Carry Cot Rain Cover which quickly snaps to your Carry Cot for the coast. The Carry Cot is perfect for sleeping newborns as well; just clip it on to the Coast Stroller, and you’ll be ready to go for all of your winter walks.

Add in some cozy blankets for cuddling together in your rocking chair as well as other items needed for all newborns, and not just those born in the winter, and you’re ready to welcome your winter newborn!

9 Items You Need to Celebrate Thanksgiving with Your Baby

by Jenna Hatfield Leave a Comment

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, perhaps you’re already thinking about how to celebrate the holiday with your baby or toddler. Whether you’re cooking the big meal at home or attending a family get together, we’ve put together a list of items and gear that will make your day with baby flow smoothly.

The Perfect High Chair for Thanksgiving

Nomi Baby Accessory – $189.95

Do you have a newborn or little one up to six months who isn’t quite into eating like everyone else will be on Turkey Day? You’ll want to get a Nomi Baby, an accessory to the Nomi High Chair to bring your new bundle of joy to the table. The elevated height of this not-quite-a-high-chair lets you keep an eye on your baby while you eat. You won’t have to leave the table to attend to a fussy baby who can hear everyone else having a grand old time while passing the mashed potatoes. You’ll encourage full family togetherness, from oldest to youngest, with ease. Additionally, if you have a toddler and you want a great high chair that grows with them, check out the Nomi High Chair and learn more about Nomi here.

Stay Clean on Thanksgiving Day

Green Sprouts Stay-dry Bibs (10-Pack) – $21.99

No doubt you already have an incredibly cute outfit (or two) picked out for your little one’s Thanksgiving Day. Keep those clothes clean whether they’re nursing, teething, or eating their first foods. The Green Sprouts Stay-Dry Bibs are waterproof, making them perfect for everything from food to drool to spit-up. They’re a must have for teething droppers and keeping those clothes dry.

Green Sprouts Snap + Go® Silicone Food-catcher Bib – $11.99

For the toddlers who are ready to chow down on turkey and green bean casserole, grab a Food-catcher Bib! Not only will the waterproof silicone keep them neat and tidy, but the food catcher will keep your floor—or your family’s floor—clean from the tornado that can be toddlers learning to feed themselves. It’s made from safe materials and easy to clean. It also rolls up neatly for easy travel purposes.

From Bottle Feeding to Self-Feeding to Snacks

Boon TRIP Travel Drying Rack – $14.99

If you’re bottle feeding on the go this Thanksgiving, grab the TRIP travel drying rack from Boon. Place it next to the sink at your in-law’s house or on the counter in your hotel room. You can wash the bottles and nipples in the sink with the handy dual-ended brush. They can then dry on the green lawn. Of course, the best part is that this drying rack is compact and folds up quite small to toss in your diaper bag.

Green Sprouts Learning Plate and Cutlery Feeding Set – 26.99

For the toddlers who are learning to feed themselves, bring along this learning plate and cutlery set from Green Sprouts. On top be being appropriately sized for your little one, the suction cup on the bottom of the plate may save you from additional messes. You won’t have to worry about your toddler damaging great-grandma’s china or cleaning up after a plate heads off the side of the high chair and lands on the family dog. It’s win-win.

GoBe Kids Snack Spinner – $24.95

If your family is like any other family, the big Thanksgiving meal might not be served exactly at the planned time. Having snacks on hand for your little one might help avoid a meltdown. The GoBe Kids Snack Spinner will help save the holiday. On top of having a variety of snacks at hand, it’s spillproof! You can focus more on helping get the meal on the table and less on cleaning up spilled goldfish and fruit. Looking for some healthy snack ideas to fill up the Snack Spinner? We have some great snack ideas for you!

The Baby’s Brew 2-in-1 Snack Cups – $14.99

When it comes to snacks on the road this holiday, you may want to opt for the 2-in-1 snack cup from The Baby’s Brew. It can be a sappy cup or collapse into a snack cup, making it a versatile, compact pick when packing space is limited. Solve two problems with one item. You can also learn more about winter and holiday travel with baby here.

Stay Busy on Thanksgiving

Busy Baby Placemat – $24.99

Keep your toddler busy while they wait for the rest of you all to finish your Thanksgiving seconds. Or thirds. They’ll get to play with two toys that are tethered to the mat—meaning that they can’t toss them on the floor for everyone’s favorite game of Pick Up! And you’ll get to savor the pumpkin pie slathered in whipped cream. It will be a holiday to remember for sure.

Stay Cute, Too

Melange Collection Pumpkin Hat – $24.00

Speaking of pumpkins, your little pumpkin definitely needs this hat for their first Thanksgiving. Or second. Or third.

Wherever you’re going this Thanksgiving, this list will help keep you and your baby feeling at ease this holiday.

Best Gear for Active Families

by Jenna Hatfield Leave a Comment

Do you spend your weekends running, hiking, or biking? Perhaps all three? Are you wondering what gear would make bringing baby along on all of your adventures easier and more enjoyable? We’ve got you covered! From strollers to baby carriers to baby hiking boots, we’ve put together a fun list full of things for active families to start your little one off on the right outdoorsy foot.

Strollers and Wagons

Bumbleride Speed – Jogging Stroller – $629.00

If you’re a runner, you’ll definitely want to invest in a good quality jogging stroller. The Bumbleride Speed combines the performance you require with the sustainability you love. It features three different modes—run, jog, and walk—to match the speed of your workout. For safety, it boasts reflective elements to keep you visible pre-dawn and after dusk, allowing you to get your run in with your baby at any time of day.

Larktale caravan™ Stroller/Wagon – $479.99

If you’re hauling around more than one kiddo, you’ll definitely want the Larktale caravan. It’s roomy enough to haul around two kids and some extra gear, making it a perfect pick to walk to your local park or anywhere else you need to go. You can also equip it with a UPF50+ canopy or a rain and wind cover, both sold separately. No matter the weather, you can get out and get going together.

Baby Carriers

JP Outdoor Co. Co-Pilot Day Pack, Baby Carrier and Parenting Bag – $189.00

If hiking is your game, this combo checks off all the boxes you need for your next day hike with baby. It comes with a comfortable front-carrier as well as backpack parenting bag for you. The bag has an integrated changing station as well as a 2-in-1 cooler system that can be used separately from the backpack. The baby carrier is weighted for babies between 8 and 30 pounds, giving you lots of time to get out on the trails.

Baby K’tan Active Oasis Baby Carrier – $69.95

Perhaps your baby prefers the feel of a wrap-style baby carrier but you’re not quite sure how a wrap would do on a hike. The Baby K’Tan pulls on like a t-shirt so you don’t have to worry about anything coming undone while you’re hiking your favorite trail. The Active Oasis carrier wicks away moisture, protects baby from 90% of UVA and UVB rays, and features quick-dry fabric, perfect for all weather.

Baby Gear Suitable for Camping

Babymoov Naos Crib & Playard – $199.99

If you’re camping, your baby will need somewhere to sleep. The Babymoov Naos Crib & Playard is the perfect option. It’s actually the lightest travel playard on the market and can be set up in under a minute. It stores in a travel duffel and weighs under nine pounds. Your littlest camper will enjoy the memory foam mattress to boot!

Babymoov Anti-UV Marine Tent – $49.99

During the day at your campsite, you may want to keep your baby out of the sun’s rays. Pop up this Bamboo Tent and you’ll be good to go. It features anti-UV UPF 50+ fabric and allows for air flow. It also folds down rather flat, making it easy to transport on your next camping trip.

Bike Gear

Encore X Bike Trailer – $599.99

The Encore X is a versatile bike trailer that can also transform into a stroller, making it the perfect choice for your next biking-and-camping-trip. Additionally, the stroller conversion kit is actually included. Complete with tinted side and rear windows to block UV rays, your little ones will ride in style.

Clothing for Active Babies

Toddlers’ Kootenay III Boot from Keen – $70

These adorable boots feature a Thermal Heat Shield Footbed to keep your baby’s feet warm, high traction for the trails, and, well, did we mention that they’re adorable? Also, they’re water repellent, making them perfect for year-round splashing in the puddles on your hikes.

Baby Puffer Snowsuit from Target – $25

We know that you don’t let the weather keep you indoors. Your baby can join you on all of your cold-weather activities if they’re dressed appropriately. This baby puffer snowsuit will keep them warm and cozy on your next winter hike.

Sunday Afternoons SunSprout Hat from REI – $22

Last but not least, keep your little hiker’s head out of the sun with this adorable hat. The UPF 50+ sun protection will keep your mind off the sun’s rays and on having fun outdoors with your family.

No matter what outdoor activity you love to do with your family, there’s definitely gear to make it feel easy to bring baby along. What outdoor plans do you have with your family?
